Clay Roll-On Plaster
A variation on our popular Clay Paint, the addition of marble sands to the Clay Roll-On Plaster recipe provides a rich textured finish that mimics traditional clay plaster. A textured paint that saves you the time and expense of applying traditional, troweled-on clay plasters.
Natural white clay provides an exquisite finish using earth and mineral pigments that are blended to create a robust palette that is odorless, non-toxic and 100% VOC-free. A wide spectrum of extraordinary hues can be achieved by mixing the 12 available clay colors or by tinting the white Clay Roll-On Plaster with Unearthed pigments. Clay Roll-On Plaster colors are premixed with pigments and can be used pure for rich, deep colors or mixed in Porcelain Clay White Roll-On Plaster for subtler, lighter shades. Individual Clay Roll-On Plaster colors can also be mixed together to create shades that are exclusively yours.
Clay Roll-On Plaster contains vegetable casein (vegetable protein) and white clay as binding agents. The combination of these binding agents combines high durability of the coating with a velvet matte surface. Primarily developed for indoor applications, the Clay Roll-On Plaster matte finish is suitable for use on absorbent surfaces such as plaster, stone, concrete, wallpaper, drywall, and fibrous plaster boards. Clay Roll-On Plaster is not recommended for certain permanently humid surfaces, including kitchens and bathrooms. Use Unearthed Lime Paint for these applications.

Typical coverage of one gallon is 216 square feet, per coat. (Coverage will vary depending on surface.) Best results are generally achieved with two coats, although it is possible to get good results with only one coat, depending on the colors of the paints you are applying and painting over.
How to Use:
Ships as a dry powder - just add water to make 1 gallon or 1/10th gallon, depending on your package size. Add water and mix with a paint stirrer attachment for an electric drill or a hand held kitchen mixer. Allow the liquid roll-on plaster to rest for 30 minutes. After resting, stir thoroughly once more and apply. Clay Roll-On Plaster can be applied with a roller or brush. Once mixed, Clay Roll-On Plaster should be used the same day as it contains no chemical preservatives and will spoil if not applied.
Wet Clay Roll-On Plaster is several shades darker than the finished dry roll-on plaster. Clay Roll-On Plaster will appear blotchy and somewhat transparent as it dries, but will create an opaque and uniform finish when dry.
Clay Roll-On Plaster powder comes in white (no pigments) and dark colors (pigments blended in to create vibrant shades).
